Engineering Technician

Basic Job Functions:

C.H.I. Overhead Doors is seeking an Engineering Technician to help us in meeting our goals for 2023 and beyond. The Engineering Technician will perform engineering duties in planning and designing residential/commercial garage doors, hardware components, and other infrastructure. This role works collaboratively with internal and external customers, industry and building products experts, and other resources to develop these products and processes for the organization.

Additional Responsibilities:

• Create new 2D / 3D drawings of parts and assemblies.
• Assist in the maintenance of files for engineering drawings, engineering change orders, manufacturing specifications and bill of materials.
• Function as a resource for team members to analyze and troubleshoot issues for new and existing products.
• Works closely with Product Engineers, Manufacturing Engineers, and Process Engineers to implement new products and updates to existing products.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Associate degree in Engineering or a related field

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficient in AutoDesk Inventor, AutoCAD, MS Office and Adobe applications

• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and procedures

• Knowledge of quality assurance processes

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
