Customer Pick Up

Basic Job Functions:

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

The Position:

Customer Pick Up teammates are responsible for the assembly, gathering, and loading of products that our dealer network picks up on-site. This can also include the manufacturing, assembly and support the production of C.H.I. products such as doors, door assemblies, or other support components. This is a heavy-lifting position. 

Related Job Duties:

• Reads production paperwork and performs work as assigned by the department supervisor.
• Loads doors, hardware, and other products onto dealers' vehicles and/or trailers.
• Utilize machinery such as fork lifts & combi lifts to safely store, retrieve, and move products to the loading dock.
• Directly interacts with and assists customers on-site.
• Assembles the materials to produce garage doors and/or assemblies.
• Attach appropriate labels and tags to products and packages and include correct shipping documents.
• Pack finished goods into correct packages and boxes.
• Notify the supervisor of any mechanical or material issues.
• Place finished goods in the proper area and/or trailer for shipment.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.
• Maintain production standards without compromising quality.
• Other reasonably related duties as assigned.

Compensation

$17.76/hour + Weekly Production Bonus  Example: Hourly Base Rate = 17.76. Weekly Production Bonus = 55%. Total Hourly Rate = 27.52

Production Bonus

Production Bonus percentage is variable, determinate upon attaining production goals each week. Production Bonus is paid out weekly.

Profit-Sharing

10% of Nucor’s pre-tax earnings are contributed to the Profit Sharing Plan annually and distributed to all eligible teammates. A large portion is deposited into your profit-sharing account, and a smaller portion is distributed in cash. Current 6-year average = 19.88% of your eligible earnings. Eligible earnings include regular pay, overtime, and bonus.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 1 year experience in general labor, manufacturing, or construction.
• 1 year experience in customer service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• 2 years of previous experience in manufacturing including operation of machines.
• 2 years customer service experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting.
