Compensation
This position is non-exempt, ROA.

Basic Job Functions:
Skyline Steel, LLC, a division of Nucor, the nation's largest recycler and largest manufacturer of steel and steel products, is seeking a qualified applicant for the position of Quality Technician. Job responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:
•    Performing and coordinating all visual weld testing, coating testing within the facility
•    Reporting on progress of work in process, rework/repair orders, and production problems
•    Preparing reports following all weld inspections, coating inspections in accordance with order requirements
•    Performing audits
•    Utilize Fastfield and PosiTrack system as required
•    Performing equipment calibrations
•    Work on shop floor to support operations as required
•    All other duties as instructed by direct supervisor.
The Quality Technician will be an integral member of the Skyline team. A successful candidate must be able to work independently as well as in a group and be willing and able to work off shifts not to exclude weekends as operating conditions require.
To ensure the success of the Skyline team, safety must be at the forefront of each duty that is performed by each teammate.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Compensation:

The starting pay rate for this position is $26.30 an hour or $54,704 annually. This position is also eligible for an annual return on assets bonus and a profit sharing bonus. 

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of VT Inspection Practices
•    Knowledge of UT Inspection Practices
•    Knowledge of AWS welding codes
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in the steel industry

Preferred Qualifications:

AWS QC1 Certified Welding Inspector Certification
•    Proficient with Microsoft Office Systems: Word, Excel, PP
•    Proficient with Adobe Acrobat
•    Proficient in FastField and PosiTrack
