Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel West Virginia is looking for a Warehouse Counter to join our team. This teammate will maintain the warehouse in a professional manner while providing excellent service to all customers. Responsibilities include completing audits, cycle counts, and accurately entering data into the company database.This role will verify the accuracy of stock replenishment and non‑stock shipments, ensuring materials are placed in proper locations. The teammate will be trained, certified, and expected to safely operate a forklift and overhead crane in accordance with Nucor standards. The qualified candidate must be willing to work rotating shifts and weekends as required.
Nucor Steel West Virginia’s greenfield project is a new state-of-the-art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located onsite in Mason County, along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- One (1) year experience in inventory auditing and tracking
- Forklift operation certificate and one (1) year experience operating a forklift

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel
- Industrial warehouse experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- Overhead crane experience
- Experience with ERP software
- General mechanical and maintenance knowledge
