Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
The Material Handling Administrator will be responsible for providing administrative and organizational support to the Material Handling department during our construction process and in our operations. You will assist in managing the department's day-to-day activities, scheduling, coordinating with various teams, payroll production bonus inputs, and Material Handling performance data.

Support for the team will include:
- Assist in tracking shipment activity, load status, transportation mode, and shipping totals.
- Maintain department KPI reports, safety records, training records, timecard support, payroll support records, and department files.
- Organize and submit shipment paperwork, bills of lading, weight tickets, and carrier documentation.
- Order and maintain supplies for the department.
- Provide backup support for Scale Administrator duties as needed.
- Communicate with teammates, carriers, and departments to resolve shipment or documentation issues.
- Support safety, housekeeping, teamwork, and continuous improvement.
Minimum Qualifications:
- At least one-year administrative experience in a manufacturing facility or office-based position
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
- Proficiency in creating, organizing, and managing documents
- Strong attention to detail, communication, teamwork, and follow-through.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in Material Handling, Logistics, Shipping, Warehousing, or manufacturing.
- Experience with shipment documents, scale processes, or business systems.
- Prior experience working with NOVAtime and Oracle.
