  • Ensure measurement traceability to NIST/national standards using certified reference materials, gauge blocks, standard weights, and reference instruments.
  • Label equipment with calibration status; identify, tag, and quarantine out-of-tolerance equipment.
  • Evaluate and communicate the impact of out-of-tolerance findings on previously reported results (reverse traceability).
  • Support MSA activities, including Gauge R&R studies, and coordinate third-party/OEM calibration services.

Galvanizing Lab Support

  • Support Galvanizing Operations in verifying completion of routine maintenance and cleaning activities.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and calibration activities with operations and approved suppliers.

Equipment, Maintenance & Consumables

  • Perform routine inspections, cleaning, and basic preventive maintenance of etch lab equipment.

  • Maintain calibration records, certificates, equipment histories, and sample/result traceability in NMS.
  • Follow applicable ASTM, ISO, and internal procedures, including ASTM E381, E340, and E112.
  • Escalate abnormal or questionable results to the Lab Lead or Supervisor.

The position is assigned to a Monday–Friday day shift and includes participation in a rotating on‑call schedule. On‑call responsibilities may require remote access or on‑site response outside of standard work hours, including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
