Basic Job Functions:
Nucor Steel West Virginia is seeking a commercial leader for the role of Inside Sales Manager. The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading the inside sales team and championing The Nucor Way. Effective communication and leadership are critical for this role, which involves hiring and training Inside Sales Representatives, cross-functional collaboration, and supporting our ERP system implementation. This supervisor will drive team development and continuous improvement across safety, quality, cost, service, and productivity.
Nucor Steel West Virginia’s greenfield project is a new state-of-the-art sheet steel mill that will produce up to 3 million tons per year once fully operational. This advanced manufacturing facility is to be located in Mason County, along the Ohio River in close proximity to both Huntington and Charleston, WV.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Five years of supervisory and leadership experience in sales management with a proven ability to manage and develop teams.
- Demonstrate proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
- Willing to travel up to 20% of time to customers, events, and Nucor Sheet Mill Groups.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in a steel mill or related manufacturing environment
• Prior experience in ERP implementation(s)
• Experience in automotive supply markets, OEM applications
• ISO/TS & IATF background
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Technical, or a related field; or equivalent relevant work experience
• Demonstrated success as a developer of talent, with the ability to mentor, coach, and build high-performing teams
• Prior experience in Sales/Marketing.
