NBSIN Inventory Specialist

Basic Job Functions:

The teammate in this position must be successful working in a team setting or independently on projects that will help the division reach its goals. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to…Receiving/entering all warehouse and steel receipts.  Relieving inventory daily.  Completing Inventory Tracking and investigating discrepancies.  Releasing material from mills.  Managing physical inventory counts with the plant.  Preparing reports.  Month end reporting for purchasing.  Completing inventory adjustments as necessary.  Addressing any inventory concerns from internal customers.  Filing and scanning of inventory documents.  Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor. 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. High School Diploma or equivalent.
2. Proven commitment to safety.
3. Strong computer skills with Microsoft office applications.
4. Critical thinking skills.
5. Ability to plan around month/year end closings.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous experience with purchasing or inventory control.
2. Ability to analyze and think strategically.
