NBG Senior Software Developer

Basic Job Functions:

1. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times
2. Ownership and accountability in a highly collaborative environment that values stakeholders and business outcomes
3. Participation in team meetings, code reviews, and pair programming to continually improve quality in artifacts and team deliverables
4. Drive the scope, development, and implementation of value-added new and or enhanced products, processes, and tools
5. Produce the highest level of quality documentation that implements value by actively participating in document reviews, testing, tools, and processes guidelines
6. Position requires occasional travel for up to a week at a time

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Bachelor’s Degree or professional certification in Computer Science, Structural Engineering, or other applicable discipline
2. A minimum of 8 years of experience in software development using C#, Visual Basic.NET
3. Experience developing applications through the software development life cycle
4. Demonstrates understanding of key concepts in application architecture

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Experience with Azure DevOps Server/Services or Git/GitHub
2. Understanding and experience with one or more of the following: ASP.NET Core, C#, Angular, Blazor, React
3. Experience with Microsoft D365 or other similar ERP systems
4. Relational database and SQL experience, SQL Server, Entity Framework
5. Experience in an Agile development methodology such as Scrum
