Basic Job Functions:

The PC Technician’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to, taking care of our customers by executing the division's safety, quality, cost, and productivity and profitability objectives. In this highly visible support role, superior customer service shall be the hallmark of the successful candidate. The successful candidate will strive to become the primary point of contact for all IT related support issues by responding to support requests in a timely and efficient manner and work to resolve issues that arise in a networked environment, including problems with client software and hardware, network printers and IP network connectivity. Daily tasks may include configuring and supporting new workstations, laptops, IP Phones, Cellular Phones, Scanners, Wi-Fi, and other electronic devices. Maintenance of virtual & physical server environment and server room. Due to the nature of this role, the PC Technician must be able to work a flexible schedule as this position requires on-call scheduling to provide support to the operation. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:
  1. High School diploma or GED
  2. 1-year experience providing desktop support in an enterprise environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  1. A+, Network+, CCNA, or other similar industry certification
  2. Associates or Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field
  3. Knowledge of SharePoint, Computer Imaging Server software and deployment
  4. LAN Administration experience including Active Directory and GPO creation
