Maintenance Machinist - NBGTX (Terrell, Texas)

Basic Job Functions:

Teammate will be required to work in a team setting, or individually using a lathe, mill, and surface grinder on a broad range of projects. Manage dies for plant and coordinate with outside vendors on machining needs. Additional requirements will include but not limited to diagnose and repair all equipment and cranes. Ability to work long hours with no notice and able to work at heights, and during extreme temperature.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or G.E.D. Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Industrial maintenance experience to include welding, overhead crane operation, inspection and repair 
2. CNC programming, diagnoses and rep
3. Knowledge in diagnoses and repair of mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic energy systems, electric motors and circuits, and basic automotive.
