Basic Job Functions:

The Desktop Support Analyst provides first line hardware and application support for end users, identifying and resolving hardware and software issues and working with IT staff and/or vendors as needed. Additional responsibilities include maintenance of plant LAN and WLAN infrastructure, maintenance and configuration of VoIP system, creation and maintenance of documentation for existing and future systems. The Analyst installs, configures, repairs and tests tablets, laptops, desktops, and printers. This position rotates on-call responsibilities weekly with other members of the IT department to provide 24x7x365 IT coverage. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    2 year Associate degree or certificate in a computer related field
•    5 years related experience with Windows and Windows Server

Preferred Qualifications:

•    B.S. or B.A. degree in a computer related field
•    Experience in a construction or manufacturing job setting
