Basic Job Functions:
- Provide technical services on questions related to the best application of CENTRIA architectural wall systems.
- Prepare and maintain complete detail standards and installation manuals for CENTRIA products.
- Review requests and design new custom project specific detail drawings for non-standard product applications to support in-house detailing, external customers, as well as pre-sale support.
- Assist architects and or field personnel in proper product applications via development of installation drawings and General note drawings.
- Construct product application details to aid in design assist projects.
- Assist with training for new and existing dealers, and CENTRIA teammates.
- Provide CENTRIA sales team with updates on potential projects based on architectural inquiries.
- Design and prepare new extrusions and die drawings.
- Promote the use of CENTRIA products by guiding dealers and architects to correct product applications means and methods.
- Will support other NIPG brand products when needed.
- Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Minimum of an associate degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school
- Previous drafting and design experience.
- Able to read and interpret architectural and structural drawings.
- Understanding of building construction.
- Strong communication skills.
- Excellent math and reading skills.
- Understanding of AutoCAD version of 2015 or higher.
- Knowledge of Autodesk Inventor and other 3D software - helpful.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft office software.
- Understand extrusion design and development process.
- Willingness to gain detail knowledge of all CENTRIA product applications and limitations. As well as their fabrication and installation techniques.
- The individual must be self-motivated, creative, and open to collaboration with teammates
- Ability to adapt to change in schedule and priorities.
- Strong sense of urgency.
- Willing to travel as needed to NIPG manufacturing facilities and project sites.
