Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Steel Lexington is seeking a dynamic candidate for the HR Administrator position. The HR Administrator will assist with new hire orientation, benefits, weekly processing of payroll – including all tax reports, quarterly and year end filings and payroll reports. Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to, provide general administrative support to the HR Department and the division. Administrative duties include answering a multiline phone system, mail distribution, greeting visitors, assistance in planning of company sponsored programs/projects/events clerical and data entry to support the Finance department. A fast – paced, self-started with a positive attitude is paramount to success in this role. Must be willing to work scheduled and unscheduled overtime, including evenings, and holidays. 


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

· Associates degree in HR or 2 years of work experience in an HR capacity

Preferred Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree in HR or business-related field or 4 years of work experience in an HR capacity

· Experience with  SAP/Success Factors

Compensation for the HR Administrator includes base salary, return on assets bonus, and profit sharing. Total compensation for this position is expected to be $45,000 - $70,000.
