DISTRICT SALES MANAGER-SOUTHERN TERRITORY

Basic Job Functions:

See       Seeking qualified candidates for the position of District Sales Manager.

This     This position will report directly to the Regional Sales Manager.

ReR     Region is the Southern Territory (Southern California, Arizona, Southern Nevada, and Hawaii). 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• The candidate must be able to drive and travel extensively when required.
• The candidate must be willing to reside in the Southern CA area.

Detailed Selection Criteria:

• Responsible for Marketing CBC Steel Buildings Company in the assigned district.
• Establish annual sales plans for the assigned territory to achieve goals set with Division Sales Manager.
• Manage the development of Builders.
• Establish geographical markets and monitor CBC’s performance in identical areas.
• Implement effective Builder recruitment and execute cancellations of non-performing Builders.
• Establish plans with each Builder to improve market presence inclusive of CBC penetration, quality of in-place products and public image.
• Tutor the distribution base on product utilization, quality, and perceived value in the marketplace.
• Promote attendance of Builders to all training opportunities, CBC functions, and utilization of CBC marketing programs.
• Work with Division Sales Manager to develop personalized training for self-improvement.
• Create Best Mark opportunities to improve product quality, service functions and enhance builder relations.

Preferences:

• Strong leadership/interpersonal skills; developing relationships based on trust and respect.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to prioritize tasks and manage time resources in an unsupervised atmosphere.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Construction Management or Engineering is desirable.
