CERTIFICATION & STANDARDS COORDINATOR -CBC

Basic Job Functions:

  • The coordinator will be responsible for working with third party accreditation companies to ensure audits are conducted on time and that we are complying with quality standards.
  • The coordinator will be responsible for equipment calibration and verification records working with the production team and outside calibration companies as well as maintaining weld procedures and certifications.
  • The coordinator will be responsible for internal quality checks and audits including, but not limited to shipping crate/load inspections, ensuring line checks are performed, MTR inspections, etc.
  • Working in tandem with the Environmental and Safety Coordinators to back each other up.
  • Perform other tasks as directed by Plant Support Supervisor and Sales Service Manager.
  • Report to team and division outcomes of quality audits and work with the teams to promote growth in the quality procedures.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Degree in the field or 2 years prior quality control experience in manufacturing.
  • Background in computer use with skills in Microsoft office.
  • A positive and supportive recommendation from their current supervisor and/or manager.
  • Ability and willingness to travel overnight for training, audits and conferences.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Prior knowledge of production procedures
  • Ability to operate overhead cranes and forklifts as necessary
  • American Welding Society Certification Welding Inspector (AWS CWI).
