Basic Job Functions:

The role of the Sheet Rolling Process Model Engineer includes but is not limited to installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing and improving software systems. The selected individual(s) will be part of the maintenance team working with the production teams to improve safety, quality, costs, reliability, and productivity throughout the facility.  Ability to work rotating shifts, scheduled and unscheduled overtime including nights, holidays and weekends


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  1. BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience.
  2. Experience with mill setup applications and software in all aspects of hot and/or cold sheet rolling.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Hot and/or cold sheet rolling modeling software development experience
  2. Predictive analysis model development experience
  3. Demonstrated willingness to apply process improvements across divisions
  4. Demonstrated willingness to apply knowledge and experience in similar applications
