Basic Job Functions:

The role of the District Sales Manager consists of, but is not limited to, providing industry leading service by growing relationships with key customers, finding new strategic sales opportunities, submitting accurate forecasts and orders from customers while proactively solving problems.  This position will help the sales team achieve revenue, shipment, and profitability goals. In doing so, the successful candidate will be required to travel and make personal sales calls to Nucor’s customers to grow current accounts and develop new business.
*This position is DSM of the Houston sales territory.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    Demonstrated experience in sales and customer interaction.
•    Computer and writing skills – accomplished with Word, Excel and email communication.
•    Driver’s license in good standing and a safe driving record.
•    Must be willing to relocate to the Houston area.

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Sales or leadership experience in steel or related industry.
•    Experience in energy markets.
•    College degree in business/marketing or field related to the steel business.
