Design Supervisor

Basic Job Functions:

The Design Supervisor position is responsible for working as a member of the Vulcraft leadership team to continuously improve safety, quality, cost, productivity, and profitability across all departments. The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to, leading a team of Design Engineers to support the division’s goal to take care of all customers. As a leader, this individual is responsible for the coaching and development of the team.

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Recommendation of Supervisor or Manager
• PE Registration
• Must be willing to relocate for future advancement positions within Nucor

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in the steel joist and deck industry or other steel manufacturing businesses
• Experience in construction industry in either a project management role or as a consulting engineer
• Leadership experience
