Basic Job Functions:

The Components Sales Representative assists in the company sales and profit effort by performing and managing operational efforts within the facility Components Department. Day to day functions include:

  • The Components Sales Representative will be responsible for working with the Quality Service Group Leader and Components Coordinators to develop and implement growth strategies for the components business. Areas of initial focus includes, but is not limited to, marketing, sales, recruiting, quoting, order processing, technical support, developing different delivery methods,  and service after the sale.  This also includes the handling of quality issues for the Components team.
  • The Components Sales Representative will be responsible for processing and managing all strategic component customers.  This includes, but is not limited to, quoting, recruiting, order management (scope, price, schedule, and customer relationship), change management, and communication with both external and internal customers.  As part of this process, constant communication with parties involved and status updates in weekly component meetings will be required.
  • The Components Sales Representative will work to balance the needs of the customer with the needs and efficiencies of our internal departments to help maximize ABC resources while still satisfying the customer’s requirements.
  • Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • A positive and supportive recommendation from their current supervisor and/or manager.
  • A thorough understanding of ABC processes such as: order flow, manufacturing process and shipping practices.
  • Background in computer use with skills in Microsoft Office.
  • Prior experience in the areas of sales, detailing, design, estimating, customer service, quality service or production with a Metal Building Manufacturer or related industry.
  • Ability to travel to job site meetings and customer offices as required.
  • High school diploma or GED.

  • Technical Associates Degree or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Construction, or Engineering related fields
  • 2 + Years Metal Building experience in the areas of Detailing, Estimating or Customer Service.
