Staff Accountant

Basic Job Functions:

The Staff Accountant responsibilities include but are not limited to knowledge in the following areas: General ledger accounting, month-end closing and financial report preparation, internal control processes, problem solving and root cause analysis, generally accepted accounting principles and Sarbanes-Oxley.  Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Accounting/Finance Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Accounting experience in a manufacturing company
2. Experience using Oracle EBS
3. Willing to relocate for future job opportunities within Nucor
