Supply Chain Coordinator

Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Brandenburg is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Supply Chain Coordinator.  The successful candidate will coordinate and expedite orders for truck, rail, barge shipments, and maintain communication with Nucor Steel Brandenburg Sales & Operations Team.  In addition, this position will also be responsible for the implementation and use of the inventory management system and be able to thrive in the dynamic environment of a start-up. Occasional travel will be required for this position. This role will be a key business partner with Process Engineers, Production Schedulers, and Inventory Analyst in coordinating the process to facilitate continuous improvement, commercial excellence, and on-time delivery. All other duties as assigned. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

•    3+ year experience in manufacturing experience
•    3+ year experience of MRP/ERP systems (e.g., Oracle)
•    Experience in analytics and reporting
 

Preferred Qualifications:

•    Experience in the steel industry.
•    Inventory management and RFID tracking systems experience. 
•    Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business, or related field.
