Basic Job Functions:


Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.



• Provide exceptional HR support by supporting and reflecting the organization’s mission, core values, and objectives
• Maintain and ensure company compliance by reviewing and updating policies and procedures; monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conducting investigations; maintaining records
• Provide support and guidance to leadership across the full range of HR related issues including disciplinary actions, coaching, policy interpretation, etc. 
• Own all aspects of benefits administration and processing, as well as facilitate resolution to benefit issues between employee and insurance provider
• Assist in the hiring and onboarding of new employees
• Coordinate claims processing between company and Worker’s Compensation Insurance carrier
•Backup & assist payroll analyst in weekly processing and balancing of payroll, including detailed reports
• Possess strong level of discretion to manage confidential information

Minimum Qualifications:

 Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related discipline
• 2+ years HR experience

Preferred Qualifications:

 1+ years experience SAP/SuccessFactors software
• Knowledge of employment laws and procedures (COBRA, FMLA, and related State and Federal regulations) 
• Strong computer skills
