The NBT Systems Administrator will be part of the NBT Infrastructure Team which is responsible for configuring, operating, and maintaining various enterprise-wide systems as well as supporting internal IT partners across the enterprise.

 

The Systems Administrator is responsible for providing technical support to Nucor Divisions.  Installing, configuring, testing, and supporting various business applications as well as various business and infrastructure hardware (networking, computers, ATM systems, camera systems, wireless hand-held devices, etc.).

 

This is a fulltime position with the Nucor Business Technology team.  Project-related travel is required to supported divisions as well as working weekends/nights as needed.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Information Systems, Computer Science or related discipline. Equivalent combination of experience and education will also be considered.
  • Minimum 1 year of related experience with Microsoft server / desktop operating systems and PC hardware required.

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Experience in the following;
    • Active Directory
    • O365 mailbox setup
    • User support/training
    • Laptops/computers/phones/peripherals
