NSTCL Discrete Plate Lead

Basic Job Functions:

The Discrete Plate Lead is first and foremost responsible for the safety of the Discrete Plate team and in all of the Discrete Plate areas. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to coordinate housekeeping and safety efforts; train and develop team members; scheduling the team to meet production needs; assist maintenance as necessary; coordinate operations with the Rolling Mill and Shipping; assist rolling mill supervisors; and monitor costs of discrete plate department.  Nucor teammates are expected to participate in and promote an atmosphere of cooperation and team work while maintaining compliance in all areas of the site within our Quality Control System. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• At least 1 year of Discrete Plate experience or 1 year of experience in a leadership role
