NTP Shift Supervisor - Marseilles

Basic Job Functions:

The Shift Supervisor is primarily responsible for leading and developing team members, while focusing on a strategy and vision that aligns with division, group, and enterprise goals. This includes setting expectations that ensure safe operations and efficient flow of our production floor, managing costs, educating the team on business dynamics, preparing proposals and justifications for projects, and driving personal development for each teammate. The successful candidate will lead and develop a team that properly manages producing products from raw materials to shipping finished product that exceeds our customers’ expectation, as well as, develop and foster successful relationships with internal and external customers, and focus on regular interactions with scheduling/production control, sales, and other divisions to ensure shipments are scheduled properly and on-time delivery is a priority. They must drive our safety culture and be willing to take responsibility for self and others by setting an example for others to follow. Supervisors are also expected to work collaboratively to assure the best interests of Nucor Tubular Group are met while guiding the team to success in terms of safety and personal development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including scheduled and unscheduled overtime, rotating shifts, and weekends
• Experience Leading Teams

Preferred Qualifications:

• Participation in Leadership training or other PCIP related activities           
• Strong computer skillset
• Actively engaged in Safety performance and improvements
• 5+ years experience in a production role
