System Engineer

Basic Job Functions:

The Systems Engineer will take care of our customers by executing the division’s safety, quality, productivity, and profitability goals primarily through the improved reliability of our equipment. Responsibilities also include: managing and monitoring all installed systems and infrastructure. Installing, configuring, testing and maintaining operating systems, application software and system management tools and ensuring the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability. Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

Four years experience installing, configuring and troubleshooting Windows based environments

Four years experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, UCS, Unity, Data Domain)

Preferred Qualifications:

Prior Steel Mill experience

Leadership experience

Project management experience

CCNA or Further Networking Certification

BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject

4-years experience in Systems Engineering role

Cisco Networking experience
