External Reporting Analyst

Basic Job Functions:

The External Reporting Analyst plays a pivotal role in carrying on the Company’s proud tradition of excellence in providing high-quality financial related disclosures to its shareholders, regulators and any other parties interested in the financial state of an industry-leading Fortune 200 company.

The responsibilities of this role include but are not limited to:

1. Assist in the preparation of quarterly earnings guidance news releases, quarterly earnings news releases and quarterly form 10-Qs
2. Assist in the preparation of annual form 10-K, annual report to Nucor Stockholders and annual conflict minerals reporting on form SD.
3. Performing general accounting functions, including but not limited to the following: monthly journal entries, account reconciliations, impairment analyses and accounting research.
4. Build relationships and interact with teammates from all parts of the Company and potentially participate in projects that involve cross-functional teams.
5. Attention to detail as the deliverables this position produces are not only reviewed intensely internally but will be published and consumed by the general public.

Minimum Qualifications:

1. Accounting degree and 1) CPA or 2) CPA eligible
2. Minimum two years’ experience with GAAP and SEC reporting (national public accounting experience or SEC reporting experience with a public company)

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Prior manufacturing and/or auditing experience
2. Experience with complex financial consolidations
3. Experience with XBRL
4. Knowledge or proficiency with Oracle/Hyperion consolidation software
