Mill I Finishing How Saw Operator

Basic Job Functions:

The Hot Saw Operator’s responsibilities are safely cutting the tail crops of bars and load them on the cooling bed. The operator must maintain proper gaps between bars, monitor temperature of bars, and position bars into the straightener. The Hot Saw Operator will also change blades as required and learn the duties of the Cooling Bed Inspector and Straightener Operator. The Hot Saw Operator must work in extreme temperatures, rotating shifts, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Must be able to meet all physical requirements with or without reasonable accommodations.Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.
