Warehouse Lead

Basic Job Functions:

Summary:

The Warehouse Supervisor performs necessary warehouse functions such as stacking, loading, and unloading products as needed for inventory and distribution purposes. The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for the supervision of warehouse workers and the overall supervision of the movement of products, correct warehouse organization, and product modification.

Additional Functions:

• Ensures damage free movement of product during loading, unloading, and stacking in the warehouses
• Reports damaged product to the warehouse Assistant General Manager
• Uphold company expectations of cleanliness
• Adjusts products as needed according to customer orders
• Maintain warehouse organization of product by stacking it neatly in compliance with safety standards
• Conduct Safety Checks as needed by the General Manager
• Primary forklift operator for the warehouse in day-to-day operations

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Minimum of 1 year previous general labor and/or management experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

•  Two years of previous general labor and/or management experience.
